"The Law Society of Kenya and Advocates Complaints Commission was used as a cover-up and for protection by Steve Ogolla and he colluded with LSK CEO Mercy Wambua to Scam Ali Mohamed Ally Ksh650k and failed to file Certificate of Urgency," Jay Kiluu alleged.
Responding to the allegations, Ogolla stated that the hashtag had been sponsored by his opponents.
"I'm not running for office, so sponsoring a #SteveOgollaExposed is a lazy approach. Importantly, I charged a client Kshs. 1M in legal fees. He paid 600K and has a balance of 400K. I filed the Petition, and the Written Submissions. The matter is pending a hearing before Ong'udi J," Ogolla tweeted.
A section of netizens came to the aspiring politician's defence, describing him as a good man.
"Steve Ogolla is a competent attorney. He has represented me before. And it was his competent seize of the law that sent investigators into a frenzy and ultimately closed a lazy file they had opened. I agree, This is a lazy approach to the matter. Enjoy the FREE publicity ndugu," Abraham Mutua stated.
"They are making you more popular," Cornelius Ronoh stated.
Netizens accused LSK of entertaining the actions by Ogolla instead of taking action, however, a section argued that LSK had nothing to do with the allegations, defending LSK President Nelson Havi from the matter.
"Nelson Havi has Nothing to do with #SteveOgollaExposed No. Havi is beyond this. Steve Ogolla tweeted yesterday which could have rubbed Raila's flag bearers the wrong way. Hii ni kazi ya akina Jalas," Tabby Kanyugu said.
