Veteran Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) anchor Badi Muhsin is dead.
The legendary news anchor passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021, in Mombasa County after a short illness, the family confirmed.
According to his brother Hafidh Muhsin, they took lunch together with the renowned broadcaster on Friday afternoon, and while he never complained of any pain, Badi retired to his room never to wake up.
Mr. Muhsin recently made a comeback to Kenya Broadcasting Corporation.
In June 2021, the national broadcaster unveiled new studios alongside a star-studded team that included veterans who were previously at the media house.

Mr. Muhsin was among the journalists in the line up including Catherine Kasavuli, Fred Indimuli, and Tom Mboya.
He was one of the longest Swahili news anchors in Kenya and presented news between 1980 to 2002 during President Daniel Moi's era.
The deceased was presented with the Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) award in 2011 by the retired President Mwai Kibaki, for his exemplary long service in the Kenyan media.
