Former NTV News anchor Mark Masai is determined to bounce back after his unexpected sack from the Nation Media Group.

Barely a week after leaving the newsroom, the journo has unveiled a new show that will discuss a myriad of issues and be aired on his social media handles.

The show dubbed The Social Newsroom, he says, will dissect issues that matter to the people of Kenya and be told in a different way.

"It has always been about the who, what, where, when, why and how. But in the times we are living in, there is a big so what?" Masai posed.

"To the new way of doing things, finding meaning in what we experience and finding stories that matter to us. Welcome to the future!"

SemaBOX is a plug-and-play, specialist podcasting studio and podcast incubator.

It was created during the Covid-19 pandemic with a vision to help emerging podcasters create and distribute their stories across the world.

It has been open since September 2020 and is now one of Kenya’s largest producers of podcasts by volume and hours of content.

Masai a week ago bid farewell to his followers at NTV announcing an end to his 14-year career at NTV.

This came after the media house laid its staff with the most affected being veteran journalists believed to be earning huge salaries.

“This is the reality of the media landscape around the world and unfortunately, I was at the losing end of this one. I will be back on other platforms: watch this space,” the journalist stated.
