Siaya Governor James Orengo has lashed out at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua telling him to keep off the running of affairs of the county.
Speaking during the memorial service of Roots Party leader George Wajackoya's father on Tuesday in Matungu Kakamega county, Orengo said Sakaja can only answer to the President and not his deputy.
"Sakaja is right and the deputy president is wrong," Orengo said.
"Sakaja can only talk to the President, not his deputy. Nobody can call the county of Nairobi County, other than Sakaja."

Orengo further censured the DP saying the constitution is very clear on what he can do and how far he can reach while undertaking his responsibilities.
He said Gachagua has no responsibility in lecturing any Governor on what to do and what not to do.
Also present at the function was Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa.
He joined in the calls for the DP to keep off running of the affairs of the county saying the law must be followed.
"I want to take this opportunity to tell DP Gachagua that he must respect the Constitution, Governor Sakaja is in charge of Nairobi County. Let him do his work without interference," Barasa said.
Sakaja and the DP have been embroiled in a standoff of sorts.
This is after the Deputy President publicly opposed the move by Gachagua to remove matatus from the CBD.
He told the City Governor to go slow saying it is he who influenced his election.
