A body of a woman with a towel stuffed in her mouth was discovered on a river bank in Njoro, Nakuru county. 

The body was found in a sack. She was discovered by two children who had gone to fetch water

Police believe the woman is aged between 35 to 40 years.

Further observation by the officers indicates that the woman's hands and legs had been tied before it was cut into pieces and stuffed in the sack. 

Preliminary investigations show that the woman could have been killed somewhere before it was dumped there.

Police concluded the woman was killed elsewhere and the body dumped at the scene. Her identity remained a mystery by the time of going to press.

The scene was documented, and processed before the body was moved to Egerton University mortuary awaiting identification and postmortem.
