Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i's Lawyers have disclosed that they will present him at any police station of choice today, Thursday, February 9.
His lawyers Danstan Omari and Sam Nyaberi who spoke at Matiang'i's Karen home minutes after police had raided the residence said, the former CS was not avoiding the rule of law.
They termed as illegal the night raid by the officers saying the officers were harassing the former CS yet he had broken no law.
"We are ready and willing to present Matiang'i to any police station in this country. He is not avoiding any rule of law, that is if he has committed any offence," Omari said.
According to Omari, tens of lawyers arrived at the residence of the former CS immediately after news broke out of his planned arrest.

He said they are however set to present the CS to the police station for any legal action to follow its course.
"We are 200 advocates charged with protecting the former CS. We will drive with him tomorrow, take him to the nearest police station then they can lock him up if they want and take him to court," Omari added.
Nyaberi on his hand questioned the police about why they did not follow the legal process before raiding the residence of the former CS.
"If indeed police wanted the CS, they ought to have gone to court and applied, under miscellaneous application, that they want to investigate him on a particular aspect. But that did not happen. We have not seen any summons, we have not seen any warrant to raid his home," Nyaberi added.
Police raided Matiang'i's home late Wednesday night forcing the former PM Raila Odinga to keep vigil at the home.
MPs and his former CSs also arrived at the scene.
