Embattled New Life Prayer Centre and Church Pastor Ezekiel Odero has moved to court seeking an order blocking security agencies from interfering with his bank accounts.
Court Papers seen by Nairobi Leo indicated that the preacher has 15 bank accounts with Cooperative and NCBA banks.
In a case filed by his lawyer Danstan Omari, the Preacher wants the DCI and the inspector general of police blocked from accessing and freezing his accounts.
“In the interim and pending the hearing and determination of this application, this honourable court be pleased to issue a conservatory order temporarily restraining the respondents from taking adverse action against Odero or New Life Prayer Center and Church including the freezing of the church accounts in Cooperative Bank and NCBA bank,” said Omari.

The televangelist had also asked the courts to allow his church reopened.
He accused the state of conniving an evil scheme against him aimed at frustrating him and his ministry.
“Unless this court intervenes, the respondents will continue issuing illegal directives to not only frustrate the applicant herein but also threaten the very existence of New Life Prayer Center and Church and the projects currently underway,” Ezekiel said.
The Mombasa High Court issued a directive in his favour by directing the National Police Service (NPS) to reopen Odero’s New Life International Church in Mavueni, Kilifi County.
