Economist David Ndii has given his opinion on the Sh 120 million house saga in which a Cabinet Secretary in President William Ruto's government has been mentioned.
Reports indicated the said CS had strived to purchase the property owned by an MP at an undervalued price of Sh 90 million.
The scandal raised eyebrows among Kenyans who suspected the bureaucrats in government could be misappropriating the public funds in their custody for their own gains.
A Kenyan wondered how a CS would be doing such multi-million shilling transactions less than a year since getting into office.
"A CS who has only worked for less than a year is already buying a 120 million house? Yenyewe Serikali ni ya mama mboga hii," posed Njaga Mugo.

Responding to Mugo's concern, Ndii who leads a team of Ruto's economic advisors suggested transacting such amounts would not be a big deal to most of the CSs given their wealth declaration reports.
"CS nominees declared their finances during vetting. This info is in the public domain. Actually, you can just google it," he said.
Ndii's sentiments came after Gatanga MP Edward Muriu broke his silence over the saga.
Muriu went ahead to reveal the identity of the 'mysterious' government official.
He said the CS in question is Florence Bore who heads the Labour and Social Protection docket.
Muriu, an attorney by profession, accused the CS of mobilising the police to terrorise his workers following his resolve of not selling the house.
"For Record,The CS Who illegally broke into and Occupied Our Family House,in Amara Ridge, Karen, Sent a Contingent of over 100 Police officers who Brutally assulted my workers is Non Other than CS Florence Chepngetich Bore.CS Labour and Social Protection," he said.
The MP's wife had also asserted that the CS moved into the property without any binding agreement.
According to her, the CS had wanted the house but they would not accede to her offer.
"There is no agreement signed whatsoever. No transaction has taken place. This house still belongs to me and my husband. The CS showed interest in the house. She came to our home and tabled an offer of KSh 90 million, and we told her the house goes for KSh 120 million," she said.
