Speaker of National Assembly Moses Wetang'ula has shared a message of condolences to the family of Njoro MP Charity Kathambi Chepkwonyi following the passing of her husband.

Kathambi was elected MP on the UDA party ticket.

Wetangula in his message regretted the death of David Chepkwonyi and wished the family God's intervention during this trying moment.

"I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Family of Hon CharityKathambi Chepkwonyi for the passing of her Husband, and to the entire Njoro Constituency during these profoundly challenging moments. Please accept my condolences on behalf of the National Assembly members and our staff," he said in a tweet.

Kathambi is a second-term member of the National Assembly. Her husband reportedly died last week. The cause of death is yet to be known.
