Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has urged President William Ruto to enforce a strict dress code on his Cabinet Secretaries after Public Service CS Moses Kuria donned a military regalia.
In a statement via X on Wednesday, October 25, Ahmednasir said the move by CSs to wear military uniforms makes a complete joke of the offices they hold.
“H.E William Ruto should enforce a strict dress code on his ministers. I don't like cabinet secretaries Hon Moses Kuria living their childhood fantasies or trying to impress their village mates at taxpayer's expenses by dressing in jungle military regalia with their names and titles printed on it.
“This fetish obsession with military uniforms by his Ministers makes a complete nonsense/joke of the offices they hold,” said Ahmednasir.

CS Kuria on Wednesday wore the military uniform during his inaugural visit at the National Youth Service (NYS) headquarters in Ruaraka, Nairobi.
Interior CS Kithure Kindiki has also been previously spotted wearing a military regalia during visits to North Rift.
Ahmednasir’s statement comes a day after the Head of Public Service and State House Chief of Staff Felix Koskei called out civil servants over poor working culture and inadequate compliance with dress codes.
“Adherence to work working hours, dress code, official language, codes of conduct and norms and standards is extremely poor,” Koskei said during the 27th Annual National Human Resource Management Conference at a Naivasha hotel.
