Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions in several parts of the country on Thursday, September 10.
In a notice on Wednesday, September 9, the company said the outages will affect customers in selected areas across Nairobi, Uasin Gishu, Kisumu, Migori, Kisii, Nyeri, Kiambu and Kitui counties.
In Nairobi, power interruptions are scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in parts of Hardy, Karen, including Safe Park Estate, Mutty Court, Kipevu Road and adjacent customers.
The interruption will also affect part of Karen around Shell Petrol Station Kerarapon and adjacent customers.
Parts of Spring Valley will also be affected during the same period, including part of Peponi Road from General Mathenge Junction to Thigiri Ridge Road Junction, Peponi Gardens, part of Spring Valley Road and adjacent customers.

Bamburi Road, part of Enterprise Road, Industrial, Prison and adjacent customers are also listed.
In Uasin Gishu County, the scheduled outage will run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will affect Torochmoi, Mosop, Arbabuch and adjacent customers.
In Kisumu County, customers in areas served by Chemelli Factory will experience an interruption from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected areas include Simba Petrol Station, Potopoto, Kopere Market, Chemelli Sugar Factory and Primary School, Mbogo 1, 2 and 3, Gul Primary School, Mashambani, Bugon Primary School, Nyanglor Dispensary and adjacent customers.
In Migori County, the scheduled interruption will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will affect Wasio and God Jope, including Kakrao Secondary School, God Jope, Kona Kowang and adjacent customers.
In Kisii County, Kiogoro and Itumbe are listed among the areas scheduled for an interruption on Thursday, although the notice provided does not give the full outage time.
In Nyeri County, an interruption is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Kiriani and Kamacharia.
Affected areas include Kanorwe TBC, Agachiku, Lari TBC, Kandabibi, Kagumoni Coffee Factory, Warugara Secondary School, Kora Market, Mananga Market, Kamacharia Market, Mathiya Technical, and Ngamba.
Others are Kamune Market, Kamune Polytechnic, Riakiberu Coffee Factory, Irui Market, Kaharo Dispensary, Thuita Market, Karugiro Coffee Factory, Gachirago Coffee Factory, Githanga Dispensary, Geitwa Market, Kirithiru and adjacent customers.
In Kiambu County, customers in Murera Sisal, Juja Farm and Athi will be affected.
The listed areas include Murera Sisal, Matangi-Ni, Hamundia, Theta, PCEA, Matangi, Magomano, Ndarasha, Ndururumo, Ruiriro, Pherie, Mathitima, Karia, Ngomatubu, Corner Brook, Plansview Estate, Mountain View, part of Juja South, KPP Production, and Space and Style.
Others are St. Dominic School, Mastores, Abba Salama, Chai Road, Kirathimo, Tumaini, Muhaka, Jujafarm Market, Jujafarm Polytechnic, Gikumari, Air Harries kwa Mzungu, Nyumba ya Wazee, Mungetho, Wamu-Ini, Zone P, Mwrieri, Mumba and adjacent customers.
The notice also lists PCEA Hospital Kikuyu and surrounding areas, including Thogoto, Thrime PCEA Thogoto Hospital, Alliance High School, Alliance Girls, Mai-ihi, Thogoto TTC, Kihunguro and adjacent customers.
In Kitui County, the affected areas include Kithumula and Musengo.
Customers around Kithumula Market and Secondary School, Musengo Market and Secondary School, Kakumuti Market and adjacent areas are scheduled to experience an interruption.
