President William Ruto has taken a firm stand over the brewing conflict between Israel and Iran.
In a statement issued on Sunday, April 14, Ruto noted that Kenya is concerned over Iran's attack on Israel.
The Head of State noted that the attack could worsen the already delicate situation in the Middle East.
"Kenya is deeply concerned by Iran's attack on the State of Israel. This disturbing development only serves to aggravate an already delicate situation in the Middle East," Ruto stated.

"The attack represents a real and present threat to international peace and security, contravenes the Charter of the United Nations, and should be condemned by all peace-loving countries," he added.
However, Ruto urged Israel to show utmost restraint towards Iran to avoid escalating the conflict beyond recovery.
"In responding to this act of aggression, Kenya urges Israel to show utmost restraint taking into account the urgent need for all parties to walk away from the brink beyond which recovery will be enormously difficult," the President appealed.
His statement comes after Iran launched an aerial attack on Israel in a bid to retaliate against an Israeli strike that killed several senior Iranian military commanders in Damascus on April 1.
While responding to the attack, Israel Defense Forces spokesperson Daniel Hagari said that Iran launched more than 300 projectiles toward Israel, including launches from Yemen and Iraq, with 99 percent intercepted by Israeli air defences outside of Israeli airspace.
