The deadline for applying has been set for November 5, 2024. 

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has announced 39 job opportunities, with the application deadline set for November 5, 2024. 

In a public notice, the examining body announced 39 vacant positions including 10 positions for drivers and six positions for Examinations Administrators. 

Interested applicants are required to fill and submit the Application for Employment Form KNEC 2A and Application for Employment Form KNEC 2B for external and internal applicants respectively.

Applicants are also required to submit an application letter alongside certified copies of academic and professional certificates and a detailed CV with details of daytime telephone contact.

Additionally, applicants should also provide an email address, current numeration, names, and valid current contacts of three referees.

The application form should be submitted to The Chief Executive Officer, Kenya National Examination Council, New Mitihani House South C, P.O Box 73598-00200, Nairobi. 

"The council will only contact the shortlisted candidates and canvasing will result in automatic disqualification. Successful applicants offered employment will be required to submit clearance under Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya," KNEC said. 

KNEC noted that Grade 3 positions are on 5-year contract terms of service and renewal is subject to performance, and encouraged People Living With Disability and female candidates to apply.

Established in 1980, KNEC is the authoritative body responsible for overseeing national examinations in Kenya. 

It conducts major exams such as the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) following the dissolution of the East African Examinations Council. 

Its primary functions include setting examination standards, awarding certificates, and ensuring the validity and reliability of assessments.
