City lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has revealed that People's Liberation Party (PLP) leader Martha Karua has unblocked her on the X platform.
In a statement on Sunday, February 9, Ahmednasir said he didn’t believe Karua blocked him over the views he made about Chief Justice Martha Koome.
The senior counsel went on to say he sees most issues through the same lens as Karua
“Hon SC Martha Karua finally unblocked me. Can't believe she blocked in the first place just because of certain views I expressed about how incompetent and clueless CJ Koome is. And by the way, on most issues, I see through the same lens/prism as Hon Karua,” he stated.
Karua blocked Ahmednasir in December 2021 after they clashed over the assessment of CJ Koome and her predecessors in terms of where they all picked their chiefs of staff from.

"That is the "Iron Lady" for you...two tweets on why she is the official water carrier for CJ Koome and she blocks me..." said Ahmednasir on December 4, 2021.
Meanwhile, Karua has criticized the Supreme Court’s decision to permanently ban Ahmednasir and his law firm from appearing before the apex court.
In a statement via her X handle on Sunday, Karua said the Supreme Court should have given Ahmednasir a chance to be heard.
She also highlighted that punishment should have been limited to the city lawyer and not his entire law firm.
“The Supreme Court of Kenya ought to have given Ahmednasir a chance to be heard on the issue, and further the punishment ought to be limited to the person of Ahmednasir, not the entire firm, finally punishment in perpetuity appears manifestly excessive, Judicial power must be exercised with restraint, especially by the apex court,” she stated.
The Supreme Court banned Ahmednasir from appearing before the court in January 2024 over what it termed as distasteful remarks made against the institution and its judges on various media platforms.
