Kenya Power has reported delays in the generation of tokens purchased through paybill.
In a statement dated Friday, February 14, Kenya Power attributed the delays to technical issues.
The utility firm added that technicians were working to resolve the issue.
Meanwhile, those intending to buy tokens were advised to purchase them through the banks.
"We are currently experiencing a delay in generation of tokens purchased through our Paybill 888880. Our team is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible," Kenya Power stated.

"In the meantime, customers can purchase tokens through the appointed banks. We apologize for any inconvenience caused."
Customers across the country had lamented that their transactions on mobile money were unable to go through.
For those whose transactions were successful, there were delays in getting the tokens.
As a result, the utility firm resorted to sending the tokens as replies on the X platform.
