Kenya Railways has warned job seekers about fraudulent job advertisements circulating on various online platforms.
In a public notice shared on Wednesday, February 19, the corporation noted that some of the fake job postings request payment for applications or interviews, a clear indication of scam activities.
Kenya Railways emphasized that all legitimate job vacancies are only advertised on the corporation’s official website (www.krc.co.ke), the MYGOV Newspaper, and verified social media channels.
The corporation urged members of the public to be vigilant and verify any job postings before engaging with recruiters.
Kenya Railways further clarified that it does not charge any fee for job applications or recruitment processes.

Additionally, it said all official communications from the corporation bear the Kenya Railways logo and official contact details.
This comes barely a week after Kenya Railways cautioned Kenyans over a poster announcing mass job recruitment at the corporation.
In a statement on Friday, February 14, the corporation flagged the advertisement as fake, maintaining that the advert did not emanate from it.
"We wish to alert members of the public about a fake job advertisement doing rounds on various social media platforms. We strongly advise job seekers to be cautious and verify any job adverts through our website," Kenya Railways warned.
The fake poster had directed job seekers to make their application for the over 500 job postings through a private email listed on the advert.
