Kenya Met also warned of daytime temperatures above 30°C in some parts of the country.

Kenya Met has projected that the dry weather conditions will end soon, with some parts of the country set to experience occasional rainfall this week.

In its 7-day weather forecast released on Tuesday, March 4, Kenya Met noted that areas such as Western Kenya, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, Central Kenya and Nairobi would experience some rainfall as the week comes to an end.

Specifically for Nairobi and Central Keny counties, rainfall could be experienced in the morning or afternoon.

"Mainly sunny intervals are expected to prevail during the day. However, a few areas are likely to receive morning rains and afternoon showers towards the end of the forecast period," Kenya Met projected.

"Nights are expected to be partly cloudy, though a few areas may experience showers towards the end of the forecast period."

However, dry weather conditions will still be witnessed in most parts of the country during the week.

"Average daytime (maximum) temperatures of more than 30°C will be experienced over several parts of the country, except over the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, Central Rift Valley and parts of South Rift Valley, South-eastern lowlands and the Lake Victoria Basin where temperature is likely to be below 30°C.

"Average night-time (minimum) temperatures will be less than 10°C in some parts of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, Central and South Rift Valley and around Mount Kilimanjaro," read the projections in part.
