A police officer on Sunday, March 9, shot and killed his colleague after an altercation at a bar in Gigiri, Nairobi.
The suspect also opened fire at another colleague and injured him during the incident.
The three officers were among a group in a bar at the Gigiri police lines when they disagreed.
According to witnesses, the three were having food and drinks when the altercation broke out, leading to the shooting.
The deceased officer was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead after being taken to Nairobi Hospital. The other officer is nursing abdominal wounds in the hospital after being shot.

Following the incident, the officer attempted to flee the scene but was captured by members of the public before being arrested by officers from Ruaraka Police Station.
On March 4, the High Court allowed the detention of the officer at Ruaraka police station for seven days pending completion of investigations.
