The Kenya Meteorological Department has projected that rains will continue in most parts of the country, including Nairobi.
In its forecast covering Saturday, April 5, to Wednesday, April 9, Mt Kenya counties and Nairobi are set to experience rains for the next five days.
Most of the rain with thunderstorms is expected in the afternoons, with rainfall also projected in the mornings and nights.
The affected counties include Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, and Tharaka Nithi.

Additionally, Kenya Met projected cold nights for Nairobi and the 9 counties. In its projections, minimum night temperatures could fall 10°C for Saturday and Sunday.
Therefore, residents were advised to keep warm through the night and dress accordingly for the weather patterns.
Meanwhile, rain is expected to continue in most parts of the country, such as Western Kenya, Eastern Kenya and the Coast.
Similar to Nairobi, Western Kenya and Rift Valley counties will experience afternoon rains that are accompanied by thunderstorms. This is also similar to the southeastern lowlands, which include Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado, Taita Taveta and parts of Tana River County.
At the Coast, Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale counties will experience showers over several places.
