Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba has been summoned by the detectives from Kiambu county.
The lawmaker revealed via a tweet on Saturday morning, April 5, that the Kiambu County Criminal Investigation Officer had phoned her to show up at their headquarters for questioning.
Whilst she did not share the main reason behind the summon, the lawmaker linked it to the recent chants in her constituency ahead of President William Ruto's working visit.
"The CCIO Kiambu has, through a telephone, called and summoned me because the great people of Githunguri refused to be lured by fake promises and projects that never materialised. Arrests you can do, but that will not change the facts ! No more lies! You promised delivery!" she tweeted.
Going by Wamuchomba's tweet, the summon was premised on her recent rally in which she alerted her constituents on the president's visit, asking them not to tolerate empty rhetoric and lies from the president.
