Showers are likely to be experienced over a few parts of the country. 

The Kenya Meteorological Department has projected that rains will subside across the country this week.

In a 7-day weather forecast on Tuesday, April 29, the Met Department said light showers are likely to be experienced over a few parts of the country.

Most parts of the country have been experiencing heavy rains in the last couple of weeks, with some areas flooding as a result of the rainfall.

“Weather outlook for 29 April – 5 May 2025. A general reduction in rainfall is expected this week, with showers likely over a few parts of the country,” the weather forecast read in part.

At the same time, the weatherman forecasted that Coast, North-eastern, North-western Kenya, isolated areas of Western Kenya, and South-eastern lowlands regions would experience maximum daytime temperatures of above 30°C in the next 7 days.

On the other hand, parts of the Central Highlands, Central Rift Valley, and around Mt. Kilimanjaro would experience minimum nighttime temperatures of below 10°C during the period.

“Average daytime (maximum) temperatures above 30°C will prevail in the Coast, North-eastern, North-western Kenya, isolated areas of Western Kenya, and the South-eastern lowlands.

“Average night-time (minimum) temperatures below 10°C are expected in parts of the Central Highlands, Central Rift Valley, and around Mt. Kilimanjaro,” the Met Department stated.
