In an update on Tuesday, May 27, the utility company stated that the outages are necessary to facilitate essential network maintenance. 

In Trans Nzoia County, residents of Lessos, Kwa Mudavadi, Namanjala, Kapsitwet, Kitale Ndogo, Ngenge, Maridadi, and surrounding areas should expect power outages from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Neighbouring Uasin Gishu County will also be affected, particularly in Lengwai, Bidura, Siglai, Kapranga, Kanzena, Kameja, and Tuiyobei. Power in these areas will be interrupted from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Nandi County residents in Chemasis, Kapkatembu, and Soymining are similarly scheduled for a power cut from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while parts of Kakamega County, including Bushili Market, Ingotse Lower Market, and Simuli Secondary School, will also be affected during the same period, beginning at 9:30 a.m.

In Migori County, the entire Migori Town and numerous areas including Awendo, Uriri, Rongo, Kehancha, Isebania, Nyaisawa, Masara, Ntimaru, Taranganya, Sony Sugar, and several others will go without electricity from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In Nyeri County, multiple locations including Mathaithi, Tumutumu Hospital, and surrounding schools and institutions will be affected.

Thunguri and Nduma will also face day-long outages. Both interruptions are scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Residents of Kamaba Shops and Gitwe Girls in Kiambu County should prepare for outages from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting facilities such as Thakwa Water, Kambaa Factory, and Matuguta Police Station.

In the coastal region, parts of Mombasa County including Jomvu will be without power from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Affected businesses and institutions include Devki, Total Petrol Station, and Chai Traders. 

Kilifi County will also see outages in the Kokotoni and Jimba areas, affecting various schools, quarries, religious institutions, and health centres during the same hours.
