"Jubilee Party under your stewardship has a major role to play in keeping Kenya safe."

President William Ruto’s senior adviser on the Council of Economic Advisors, Moses Kuria, has congratulated retired President Uhuru Kenyatta after he regained full control of the Jubilee Party.

Taking to his X account on Thursday, June 12, Kuria said the Jubilee Party under Uhuru’s leadership has a huge role to play in keeping Kenya safe.

The former Gatundu South lawmaker also said the future of the country is luminous after Uhuru regained control of Jubilee.

“Congratulations, my senior brother, President Uhuru Kenyatta, for winning back the control of the Jubilee Party. At a time when there is a competition to burn Kenya through escalation, emotions, and divisions, the Jubilee Party under your stewardship has a major role to play in keeping Kenya safe. The future is luminous,” Kuria stated.

This comes after a High Court ruling upheld the resolutions made during the party’s National Delegates Conference (NDC) held in May 2023, validating Uhuru’s leadership.

The ruling also affirmed Saitoti Torome as the Jubilee National Chairman and Jeremiah Kioni as Secretary General.

“The National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting and the National Delegates Convention (NDC) held on April 28 and May 22, 2023 respectively be and is hereby upheld and consequently the resolutions from the said National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting and National Delegates Convention (NDC) respectively be and are hereby upheld,” the court ruled.

The ruling dealt a blow to the Kanini Kega-led faction, which had sought to remove Uhuru and his allies from the leadership of the Jubilee Party.

In March 2025, former Jubilee National Chairperson Nelson Dzuya, who had initially aligned with the Kega-led faction, acknowledged the legitimacy of the May 2023 NDC meeting.

Dzuya filed the consent of the SNDC being lawfully through lawyer Jackson Awele, supported by Franklin Mwendani.
