Kenya Police FC have made history by winning their first-ever FKF Premier League title, capping off the 2024-2025 season in style.

The milestone was sealed after a 1–1 draw against reigning champions Gor Mahia in a high-stakes showdown at the Ulinzi Sports Complex on Sunday, June 22.

The clash kicked off at 3 PM, with Police FC quickly setting the pace.

Just moments after the whistle, Brian Okoth nearly opened the scoring with a diving header from a Tyson Otieno corner, but Gor Mahia’s defense cleared it off the line.

Despite their early dominance, Police FC fell behind in the 21st minute when Shariff Musa netted the opener for Gor Mahia.

In the second half, Gor Mahia saw another yellow in the 50th minute before Police FC made two tactical substitutions in the 55th minute.

The changes had an immediate impact, with substitute David Okoth heading in a powerful equaliser just a minute later.

Police FC kept the pressure on with three more substitutions in the 73rd minute, though neither team could find a winner before the final whistle blew at 4:55 PM.

The 1–1 draw was enough for Police FC to secure the title, finishing the season with 65 points; six clear of Gor Mahia’s 59.

Since their promotion to the FKF Premier League in the 2020–2021 season, Police FC have shown steady improvement.

Interior Principal Secretary and team patron Raymond Omollo praised the club’s discipline and performance throughout the season.

He also pointed out that Police FC is the only team in the league with audited financial records, demonstrating accountability and professionalism.
