KUCCPS has issued a call for applications to the Diploma in Primary Teacher Education programme at Eldas Teacher Training College.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has issued a call for applications to the Diploma in Primary Teacher Education programme at Eldas Teacher Training College.

In a statement on Wednesday, July 8, KUCCPS said the intake is scheduled for September 2025 with only limited vacancies available.

KUCCPS confirmed that the programme targets prospective teachers keen on joining the primary education sector. 

The entry requirement for the course is a KCSE Mean Grade of C (plain), making it accessible to a wide pool of qualified applicants.

Applicants are encouraged to submit their applications through the KUCCPS Student’s Portal at https://students.kuccps.net.

KUCCPS said the placements will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, with vacancies filled as applications are received.

This comes a week after the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has officially opened its portal for the 2025–2026 academic year loans and scholarships.

In a notice on Wednesday, July 2, HELB invited first-time and continuing students to apply for undergraduate and TVET loans and scholarships.

First time applicants are required to apply via the www.hef.co.ke website, while continuing students can dial *642# or use the HELB app.

“The 2025-2026 First Time and Subsequent Applications for Undergraduate & TVET Loans & Scholarships are now open. Apply via www.hef.co.ke for first-time applicants or dial *642# or HELB-App for continuing students,” the notice read.

HELB also urged eligible students to apply for loans and scholarships early to avoid last-minute inconveniences.

The deadline for the applications is August 31, 2025.
