Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across various parts of the country on Thursday, July 10.
In a statement on Wednesday, July 9, the company explained that the interruptions are due to planned maintenance works.
In Nairobi, residents and businesses in South C will experience a power blackout from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The affected areas include Kongoni Primary, Nairobi South Hospital, CID South C, Muhoho Avenue, Popo Road, Kenya Red Cross, and Khalsa Schools.
Other areas include establishments such as Mow Sports Club, Bellevue, KEBS, Toyota Kenya, KNEC South C, Kenya Re Estate, KPA Flats, Bandari Apartments and Next Gen Mall.

Eka Hotel, Dafam Hotel, College of Insurance, Amboseli Estate, Highview Estate, Real Estate area, the Southern Bypass zone, and Ole Sereni Hotel will also be affected.
In Kajiado County, Kitengela will face power outages between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
Some of the areas that will be impacted include Exotic Peninah, Enkasiti, Maasai Ostrich Farm, Riverine, Global Village, Alexander Forbes, and Lake Oil Korompoi.
Industrial and residential zones such as Marvel Green, Succos, Kajiado East Technical, Kwa Monica Juma, Archichem, Antilog, Jumbo Tank, Surge, Kreative Concrete, Moran Wires, Tuf Foam, Zenith Steel, Imara Steel, Kenturain, and Eden Park are also on the list of affected customers.
In the Mt. Kenya Region, particularly in Kirinyaga County, the Delmonte Lagoon area will experience a power blackout from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Areas expected to be affected include Delmonte Hospital Village, Salvation Army Training College, Salvation Quarry, Kenya Cutting, Swan Coffee, Mwanawikio Village, Nanga Village, Mama Africa School, Greystone Market, Swan Secondary, and Steppingstone School.
In the North Eastern region, areas around Wangige and Mwimuto will also be without power from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
This includes Wangige Market, Gathiga Market, Mwimuto Market, Kibiku, and nearby locations.
The Coast Region is expected to witness one of the most extensive outages, particularly in Mombasa County.
The entire Shanzu area and parts of Nyali will be affected between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
The outage will impact several hotels including Continental Hotel, Serena Hotel, Pride Inn Hotel, Shanzu Garden Estate, Cowrie Shell, Neptune Hotel, Severin Sea Lodge, Plaza Beach, Papillion, Kenya Bay, Kahamas Hotel, Yuls Hotel, Bamburi Beach Hotel, Ziwa Hotel, Travelers Hotel, and Sarova Whitesands Hotel.
Other affected areas include Charchoma, Aga Khan Holiday Homes, Thirika Farm, Sai Rock, Total Babuti, Bamburi Police, Bora Bora, Big Tree Hotel, Kunazi Estate, Kibaki Flats, Pirates Beach, KWS, Lido Beach Hotel, Milele Beach Hotel, Baobab Holiday Resort, Memon Estate, Kingston Hotel, Baobab Road, and the 1st to 6th Avenues in Nyali.
Additionally, facilities such as Shikara Apartments, Nyali Center, City Mall, SOS, Palm Breeze Hotel, Sunrise Hotel, Paradise Apartments, Right Address Apartments, Bliss Hotel, Swminaryan Academy, Total Links Road, Nyali Health Center, Aberdare Restaurant, KRA Road, Palm Garden Estate, Pavilion Apartments, Nyali Shre Enclave Estate, Sunset Paradise Apartments, NITA, KRA Training School, and Haller Park will also be affected.
The blackout will extend to Induro, Bamburi Staff Quarters, JCC, Bamburi Butterfly Pavilion, Shanzu Maweni, Jolorabi, Shanzu Bush, Bamburi Airstrip, Shanzu Stage kwa Chief, Shanzu Water, Pundamillia Shanzu, Shanzu Teachers College, Tavern, Serena Apartments, Mama Ngina Girls, Shimo la Tewa Secondary, Flamingo Paradise Hotel, Kilua Hotel, Pindua Hotel, Royal Shaza Hotel, Kwa Rudney, Shimo la Tewa Prisons Staff Quarters, Shimo la Tewa Main Prison, Shanzu Law Courts, and Shimo la Tewa Borstal Institution.
Other affected areas in the coast include Majaoni Center, Coast General Hospital, Utange Healthcare, Majaoni Primary, Fumathoka Academy, Leads Academy, Kero Port, Utange Village, Mtapa Town, Mtwapa Police, Kendas, Supaloaf Mtwapa, Mtwapa Catholic, Mtwapa Rhino, Mtwapa Sub County Hospital, Moorings Hotel, Aloo Drive, and Mtomondoni.
