Several diversions have been introduced to ease congestion.
Motorists using Mombasa Road and heading toward the Central Business District (CBD) are advised to divert through Likoni–Enterprise Road near General Motors or via the Southern Bypass at Ole Sereni.
Those travelling from Lang’ata Road into the city should consider using Raila Odinga Road or Muhoho Road at the Mbagathi Roundabout.
Motorists leaving the CBD for Thika, Ruiru, or Juja are encouraged to opt for Limuru Road or Kiambu Road to avoid congestion.
In addition, matatus transporting fans to Kasarani are expected to use Ruaraka-Baba Dogo Road and Ngomongo Road, which leads to Ngomongo Roundabout.
Vehicles approaching the city from Thika Road should consider using the Eastern Bypass, Kiambu Road, or Limuru Road as alternatives.
Police have issued a strong advisory against using Thika Road unless heading directly to Kasarani Stadium for the match.
The traffic changes are part of a wider security and logistics plan to ensure smooth operations during the high-profile sporting event.
Thousands of spectators and dignitaries will attend Thursday’s fixtures, including the headline clash between Kenya and Angola at 7:00 PM at Kasarani Stadium. An earlier match between Zambia and Congo is scheduled for 4:00 PM at Nyayo Stadium.
