Kenya Power has announced planned power interruptions across several counties on Thursday, September 4.
In a statement on Wednesday, September 3, the company said the outage which will run between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. are meant to facilitate maintenance works.
In Nairobi County, parts of Westlands including Muthithi Road, sections of Mpaka Road, Mogotio Road, Aga Khan Medical Centre, Hyatt Regency, and Chiromo Lane will be affected.
In Kasarani, the outage will hit Maternity, HACO Industry, Muirigo, Sunton, Hunters, St. Francis Hospital, Mt. Laverna, and Maji Mazuri.
In Makueni County, the outage will affect areas from Sultan to Malili (Salama ex Sultan), including Kalimbini, Ngokomi, Kima, Kiongwani, Kiu and Salama.

Maiani Market, Enzai, Mukaa, Bishop Ngala, Nguluni, Watema, Kitandi, Kilome, Nunguni, Mitini, Kavatanzou, Wautu, and surrounding areas will also be affected.
In the Central Rift region, parts of Narok County, specifically Maasai Mara, will experience outages from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Affected areas include Oloramuitia Market, Naikara Market, Ilidngisho Market, Mpiro, and Kkeneji Market.
In the North Eastern region, parts of Kiambu County will also be affected.
Areas around Kiganjo, Kamenu, Kiagombe, and Athena Primary will face interruptions, including Kenyatta Secondary School, AVOIL Industries, Alternative Energy, Athena Primary, Kimuchu Primary, and surrounding customers.
Additionally, Gikambura and Lusigetti areas will be hit, covering Kiriti, Gikambura FCC, Riunderi, Gikambura Shopping Centre, Jambu TV, Lusigetti Shopping Centre, Kaigata, Nachu Shopping Centre, Mawathaine, and adjacent areas.
In the Coast region, parts of Malindi in Kilifi County will experience outages.
Affected customers include Al Farooq Hospital, Automobile Association of Kenya, UD Trucks Limited, Gulshan, KCB Jomo Kenyatta, DTB, Huzeifa Glass, Buxton Hospital, Jumia and Total Kenyatta Avenue.
Olibiya, Marigold Guest House, Carrefour Sea Angel, Adams Barbeque, Liwaza Lounge, Mash Poa, Tahmeed, Simba Coach, Dreamline, and surrounding areas will also be hit.
