The Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) has predicted rainfall across 6 regions this week.
In a weather forecast on Tuesday, November 25, the Met Department said parts of the Central Highlands, Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley are expected to experience rainfall this week.
The Coast, South-eastern Lowlands, and Western Kenya regions will also experience showers.
The weatherman, however, said most parts of the country will remain dry throughout the week.
“Most parts of the country will remain sunny and dry this week. However, rainfall is expected in a few areas across the Central Highlands, Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, the Coast, the South-eastern Lowlands, and Western Kenya,” read the weather forecast in part.

According to the Met Department, the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley are expected to have sunny mornings with showers and thunderstorms over a few places in the afternoons with partly cloudy conditions at night.
In the Highlands east of the Rift Valley, which includes Nairobi and Kiambu counties, morning rains are expected in some areas.
Showers are also likely in the afternoons and evenings, with some days expected to be partly cloudy.
At the same time, the weatherman predicted that daytime temperatures of above 30°C are expected in the Coast, North-eastern, North-western Kenya, and parts of the South-eastern Lowlands, Rift Valley, and Western Kenya.
Meanwhile, parts of the Central Highlands, North & Central Rift Valley, Western Kenya, and areas near Mt. Kilimanjaro are expected to have nighttime temperatures of below 10°C.
In the previous weather review, the Met Department predicted rains in the Central Highlands, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, Coast Region, South East Lowlands, Western, and North Eastern Kenya.
The weatherman also predicted temperatures exceeding 30°C in the Coast, North-Eastern, North-Western Kenya, parts of South East Lowlands, and the Rift Valley, and minimum night-time temperatures of below 10°C in the Central Highlands, Rift Valley, Western Kenya, and areas near Mt. Kilimanjaro.
The Meteorological Department noted that during the period, Mruru Station in Taita Taveta recorded the highest 24-hour rainfall of 37.1 mm on November 18, 2025.
Mandera Station recorded the highest maximum temperature at 37.3°C on the same day, while Nyahururu Station registered the lowest minimum temperature of 5.4°C on November 22, 2025.
