State House Comptroller Katoo Ole Metito has announced the death of Daniel Ole Sambu, a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Executive Committee (NEC) Member.
In his statement on Thursday, December 11, Metito expressed his grief, describing Sambu as a trusted ally who played a crucial role in his political journey
"It is with profound sorrow that I convey my deepest condolences to the family and community of Kajiado South on the untimely passing of Daniel Ole Sambu.
"Daniel was a steadfast friend, a dedicated public servant, and an intrinsic part of my political journey. He served with unmatched diligence and loyalty as my first Personal Assistant for five years after my election as MP, providing the crucial foundational support for my work," he said.
Reflecting on Daniel’s rise within the ruling party, Metito noted that his elevation showcased his abilities and commitment.

"His rise to a UDA National Executive Committee (NEC) Member reflected his sharp political acumen and tireless commitment to the party," he added.
Metito also highlighted Daniel’s contribution to conservation efforts, calling him a respected advocate for environmental protection.
"Daniel leaves a great void, especially as a pivotal Wildlife Conservation Champion. His passion for protecting our environment and ancestral lands was deeply impactful, always advocating for the sustainable co-existence of people and nature," he further said.

Metito concluded by offering comfort to the bereaved family.
"To his wife, the children, and the entire family: May the Almighty grant you strength and peace to bear this irreplaceable loss. We mourn a great leader, but celebrate a life dedicated to serve the community, and conservation. Rest in peace, Daniel," he concluded.
This comes months after the ODM Party announced the death of its Mombasa County Organizing Secretary, Peter 'Rainbow' Odhiambo.
Odhiambo’s death was confirmed by Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir on Thursday, October 9 night.
In a condolence message on behalf of ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga, Nassir mourned Odhiambo as a passionate mobilizer who was dedicated to justice and unity in the party.
"On behalf of our Party Leader, H. E. Raila Amolo Odinga, I convey our deepest condolences to the ODM family and the people of Mombasa following the passing of our County Organizing Secretary, Peter “Rainbow” Odhiambo.
"Peter was a committed and passionate party mobilizer whose dedication to the ideals of justice, unity, and service left an indelible mark on the ODM movement in Mombasa and beyond. His energy, loyalty, and unwavering belief in the cause of the people will be sorely missed," Nassir stated.
The Mombasa Governor also extended his condolences to Odhiambo’s family, friends, and the entire ODM fraternity.
"We join his family, friends, and the entire ODM fraternity in mourning this great comrade. May his memory continue to inspire us to strengthen the movement he so faithfully served. May his soul rest in eternal peace," he added.
