Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across 11 counties on Tuesday, December 16.
In a notice on Monday, December 15, the company said the outages are necessary to facilitate network maintenance works.
In Nairobi County, multiple areas will experience power cuts throughout the day.
Parts of Runda will be affected from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including Runda Mumwe, Eagle Park, Havanna, Eliud Mathu, Mimosa Ridge, sections of Northern Bypass, Runda Kigwaru, Pan African Insurance Road, Eliud Zagorits and Mae Ridge.
Nairobi West will also face interruptions during the same time window, affecting Msufu Road, Sumba Road, Naimei Road, ICC Church Msa Road, Paa Crescent, Kifaru Crescent, Swara Crescent, Ghandi Avenue, Kisauni Road, Muthaiti Avenue, Muhoho Avenue, Nairobi West Hospital, Hotel Rio, Kodi Road, Summerdale Hotel, Absa Bank Nairobi West, Geta Road, Nyayo Stadium, Masaba Road, Ole Sankale Road, Madaraka Estate, Serene Court, Foundation Court, Ramsey Court, Siwaka Estate, Stratmore University, Langata Technical College and Madaraka Primary School.

Parts of Ngong Road and Dagoretti Road will experience outages affecting World Vision, St. Christophers, Miotoni West, Nandi Road, Link Road, Windy Ridge, Mdodo Lane, Warai South, Warai North, Don Bosco, Bon Free, 3 D Lane and Karen Bible School.
In Machakos County, the Kyumvi area will be affected from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., covering Kapiti Plains, Kiasa, Saint Dhilima, Kyumvi Secondary School, Inspector Mwala Area and Kyumvi Shopping Town Mall.
Kajiado County residents in Kitengela will face power cuts from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The affected areas include Kisaju, Jamii Bora, Oltoroto, Korompoi, KAG University, Mwalimu Sacco, Lucky Base, Kenchic, Hawa and surrounding customers.
In the North Rift Region, parts of Uasin Gishu County will be without power from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Kipkaren River and Ngenyi Leel area will be affected, including Kipkaren River, Kapkenyeloi, St. Marys' Osorongai, Kapchesukunwo, Soiin Pri and Kapkatembu.
Kisumu County will experience interruptions in the Rapogi and Ngere High area from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting Rapogi Secondary School, Arito Water, Reru Market, Ngere High School, Akado Market, Manywanda Market and Asino Beach.

Kakamega County's Kwisero and Khumsalaba area will face outages during the same period, covering Khwisero Market, Shiathala, Mulwanda, Khomailo, Mtikho, Khumsalaba, Ekambulu, Eshirulo and Hon. Atuoli's residence.
In the South Nyanza Region, Kisii County's Kiaruta area will be affected from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including Kiaruta Centre, Kiaruta Dispensary, Riabanaba and Ekeore Secondary School.
Nyamira County residents in the Ikonge area will experience power cuts during the same time frame, affecting Ikonge Market, Ncenri Market, Ekerenyo, Nyamaiya Market, Samanga Market and adjacent customers.
Homa Bay County will see interruptions in Waondo, Mbita and Rusinga from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., covering Koyani, Waondo, Luanda, Mbita Town and Rusinga Island.
In the Mt. Kenya Region, parts of Tharaka Nithi County will be affected in the Kagutu and Kaanwa area from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The outage will cover Kaguntu, Kaanwa Market, Chuka Vocational Technical, Mwanjate Market, Mbwiro, Kajuki Market and Njaina.
Finally, in the North Eastern Region, Kiambu County's Ukombozi and Mugutha area will experience power cuts from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This will affect parts of Ruiru Town, Imani Estate, Kenrub, Magumo Farm, sections of Membula 8 Way, Ruiru Law Court, Green Belt, DC's Offices, Taurus, Ridges, Comrades, Muhasibu, Yadini Farm, Elite Dairies, Njagu Estate, Ken Agro and Mahiga Estate Ruiru.
