Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki who was dethroned from the Senate Deputy Speaker's position has exposed what is ailing the Jubilee party.
Kindiki who prides in having been part of the architects behind the folding of both President Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto's outfits, TNA and URP into Jubilee says the ruling party is nearing its natural death.
The professor of law suggests that it's time the two leaders break away from the ruling party given their inability to get back on track to what had been envisioned at the inception of the party.
"I was part of the team that put together the legal and 'ideological' texts for the TNA/URP coalition and later, the Jubilee Party of Kenya. Sadly, the ideals as I understood them, have been severely compromised," said Kindiki in one of his social media write-ups.
He held that lack of party discipline among the Jubilee high ranking officials had killed the party organs. This, according to Kindiki was the reason Jubilee lacks ideological positions on matters of national interest.

"There is near zero party discipline within the rank and file, absence of functional party organ engagement for years on end, lack of ideological stand on key national issues of the day, personality cults and public quarrels on mundane issues that could be easily solved internally," noted Kindiki.
DP William Ruto's Influence
In the Senator's own estimation, the situation in Jubilee will stay irredeemable.
"It is time to accept the reality, reset the journey and restart the quest for ideology-based political discourse in the days ahead," he recommends.
Kindiki was among leaders President Kenyatta dropped from powerful parliamentary slots for what was seen as clipping Deputy President William Ruto's influence over parliament.
He was replaced by Uasin Gishu Senator Margaret Kamar.
