Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju has come under sharp criticism after his remarks on the need for judges to learn how to be interdependent.
Speaking during an interview on Monday night, Tuju noted that Judges should learn how to co-exist with other government entities since they rely on other agencies for services such as the provision of security.
“They should also learn the word interdependence because as soon as they finish the ruling they need the police to escort them home as guards and drivers. The world is much more complicated he said.
On the recent High Court judgment which rendered the BBI Bill process unconstitutional, Tuju noted that the court ignored the president’s role in promoting national unity.
He took issue with those celebrating the ruling, noting that they are “dancing on the graves of victims of post-election violence”.
“…Those who are celebrating this are like dancing on the graves of those who have died during political violence in this country,” he said.
The remarks elicited massive reactions with netizens warning Tuju of making such remarks as they main cause tension in the country.
