KNEC Releases 2025 KPSEA, KJSEA School-Specific Reports; How to Access

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has released the 2025 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) school-specific reports.

In a notice on Wednesday, August 26, the council said headteachers can access and download the reports through the Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) portal using their school credentials.  

To access the KPSEA or KJSEA school-specific report, headteachers should first open the CBA portal at https://cba.knec.ac.ke/ and sign in using their school credentials.

After logging in, schools should confirm that the profile displayed in the top-right corner of the portal is Headteacher before proceeding.

From the Headteacher menu, users should select School Report to access the available school-specific reports.

The next step is to select the required report type before downloading; schools can choose either KJSEA or KPSEA, with the active report type displayed above the download button.

Once the correct report has been selected, users should click the green Download button. 

The report will be downloaded in PDF format and saved in the device's Downloads folder, unless the browser prompts the user to select a different storage location.

KNEC has also advised schools to verify the downloaded report before using it. 

The verification should confirm the School Name, Centre Code and related details, and the Report Type, ensuring that it is either the KJSEA or KPSEA report intended for the school.

This comes weeks after KNEC announced that the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) e-certificates are available on its online platform.

In a notice on Wednesday, August 5, the council said the candidates who sat for KCSE in 2025 can now access the digital copies of their certificates. 

"2025 KCSE certificates are now available on the KNEC e-certificate platform. 2025 KCSE candidates can now instantly access a secure digital copy of their certificates, joining their counterparts from 1989–2024 already on the platform," read the notice in part. 

KNEC noted that the e-certificates can be used for university admissions, college and TVET applications and international admissions. 

The digital certificates can also be used for scholarship and bursary applications, as well as job, internship and recruitment processes.

To download the e-certificates, 2025 KCSE candidates are required to visit https://ecertificate.knec.ac.ke and then click the sign-up button to create an account. 

After registering, candidates will receive a one-time password (OTP) via email to verify their accounts. Once verification is complete, they should log in and verify their profiles using their National ID details.

The candidates can then click Download e-certificate and enter their KCSE index number, exam year (2025), and exam type (KCSE).

The system will display a preview of the candidate's details, including their name (as captured in KCSE records), median grade and school, for confirmation.

The candidates will then be required to pay a fee of Ksh1,500 through the eCitizen platform before the e-certificate is emailed to them and saved to their online dashboard.
