Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across nine counties on Tuesday, September 15.
In a notice on Monday, September 14, the company said the planned outages will affect selected areas in Nairobi, Kajiado, West Pokot, Kisumu, Kirinyaga, Tharaka Nithi, Nyeri, Kwale and Mombasa counties.
In Nairobi County, parts of Langata and Royal Park Estate will experience an outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected areas include KMA, St. Mary’s Hospital, GK Prisons Sunvalley Estate and Otiende Estate, together with adjacent customers.
In Kajiado County, Kimuka and Maragara will be affected from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The interruption will cover Oloolaioser, Ngere Road, Maragara Road, Booster Road, Olemontet, Bella, Baboon Crescent, Kimuka, Saikeri and Oloshobor, as well as adjacent customers.
In West Pokot County, residents and businesses in Sarmach, Nasolot and Karon will be without electricity between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The affected locations include Sarmach Market, Nasolot and Karon Centre, alongside adjacent customers.
In Kisumu County, the scheduled interruption will affect KEDA Ceramics and adjacent customers from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In Kirinyaga County, parts of Kianyaga and Rukenya will experience an outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Areas listed include parts of Kianyaga Town, Rwambiti Market, Rukenya Market, Kathata Coffee Factory, Kianyaga Hospital and parts of Kutus Town, together with adjacent customers.
In Tharaka Nithi County, Ngunga Market, Ngunga Primary School and Karambari Primary School will be affected from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., along with adjacent customers.
Nyeri County has two separate maintenance schedules. The first, covering Sangare Milk Plant, Endarasha and KanyagIa, will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The areas affected under the first Nyeri schedule include Isacco, Kamune, Peak Leaders Hotel, Mahiga, Honi, Uwasonyiro Market, and Mairo.
Others are Wendiga Farm, Charity, Watuka, Embaringo, Kulla Mawe, Nganoini, Solio Ranch and Solio Lodge, as well as adjacent customers.
A second interruption in Nyeri County will affect Thangathi, Kiuu and Ithanji during the same 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. period.
The affected areas include Ngoru, Kihate, Mutwewathi, Ichamara, Matuto, Kimondo, Gakima, Githung’ung’u, Kihuti, Thangathi, Kiuu Market, Mbugua, Ujamaa, Nguyoini, California, Ithanji Schools and Ngagu, together with adjacent customers.
In Kwale County, customers in Diani will experience a power interruption from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected locations include Tandoori, University of Nairobi, Manyatta and Two Fishes, as well as adjacent customers.
Another interruption in Kwale County will affect Kasemeni from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The areas listed are Bofu, Kasemeni, Mtaa, Mazola, Pemba, Majengo, Mienzeni and Gandhini, together with adjacent customers.
In Mombasa County, the whole of Miritini is scheduled for a power interruption from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected areas in Miritini include Doshi Miritini, Miritini Estate, AXEL Lubes, the whole of Bonje, Kilimanjaro Biscuits, Compact, Kitui Village, Mombasa Water Offices Bonje and Miritini Railway Station, as well as adjacent customers.
