Morning showers are expected in various parts of the country this morning.
The Kenya Meteorological Department has forecast rainfall across parts of the country during the morning and afternoon hours of Saturday, September 19.
Other regions remain largely dry with sunny or cloudy intervals.
According to the daily forecast issued Friday, September 18, morning showers are expected over Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Lamu and Tana River, with Embu, Nyeri and Kirinyaga also likely to see a chance of light rain before conditions shift to sunny intervals.
Busia is forecast to experience a similar pattern, with a chance of light rain in the morning easing later in the day.
Western Kenya is expected to see its rainiest spell in the afternoon, with Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Kericho, Nandi, Uasin Gishu and Trans Nzoia all forecast to experience light showers and thunderstorms over a few places.

Bungoma is expected to see the heaviest activity in the region, with moderate showers and thunderstorms forecast for the afternoon.
Lake Victoria counties are also expected to record afternoon rain, with Kisumu, Siaya, Homa Bay and Nyamira forecast to see light showers over a few places, while Migori and Kisii are expected to remain largely dry with sunny intervals through the day.
Along the coast, Mombasa, Kwale and Kilifi are forecast to continue seeing light showers in the afternoon after a wet morning, while Lamu is expected to record light showers persisting through both periods. Taita Taveta and Nyandarua are forecast to have a chance of light showers in the afternoon after a dry, sunny morning.
Much of the arid north and parts of the Rift Valley are expected to stay dry through the day. Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, Marsabit, Isiolo, Turkana, West Pokot and Samburu are all forecast to have sunny intervals in both the morning and afternoon, with Mandera recording the country's highest temperature at 37°C.
Nairobi is expected to see a cloudy morning giving way to sunny intervals in the afternoon, with no rain forecast for the capital during the day.
Elsewhere, Laikipia, Nakuru, Narok, Kajiado, Bomet, Elgeyo Marakwet, Machakos, Makueni, Kitui, Meru, Tharaka-Nithi and Murang'a are all forecast to have sunny or partly cloudy conditions through the morning and afternoon with no significant rainfall expected.
