The Kenya School of Law (KSL) has announced the opening of applications for admission to the Advocates Training Programme (ATP) for the 2027/2028 Academic Year.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, September 29, KSL said the programme is scheduled to begin on February 1, 2027, with qualified applicants required to submit their applications by November 13, 2026.

Announcing the intake, the School said the opportunity is open to applicants who meet the required qualifications for admission to the Advocates Training Programme.

"The Kenya School of Law invites applications for admission to the Advocates Training Programme for the 2027/2028 Academic Year," the notice read.

The KSL has also announced applications for the January 2027 Pre-Bar Examinations, which are scheduled to take place from January 11 to January 13, 2027.

Eligible applicants seeking to sit the Pre-Bar Examinations are required to submit their applications by December 11, 2026.

The School has reminded applicants to observe the respective deadlines, with ATP applications closing on November 13, 2026, while applications for the January 2027 Pre-Bar Examinations will close on December 11, 2026.

Applicants seeking information on eligibility criteria, application procedures, examination schedules and applicable fees have been directed to the Kenya School of Law website at www.ksl.ac.ke.

This comes weeks after the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) cautioned applicants and parents against individuals claiming they can influence placement, secure admission or provide privileged information as applications for the September 2026 intake continue.

In an update on Wednesday, September 2, the institution urged prospective students to rely only on verified information when seeking guidance on placement, admissions and available courses.

"With KMTC placement results now out and applications for the September 2026 intake ongoing, applicants and parents are advised to be cautious of individuals claiming they can secure placement, influence admission or provide privileged information about the process," the institution said.

KMTC has advised applicants not to rely on unverified information or promises of assistance, stressing the importance of confirming admissions and placement details through official communication channels.

For accurate information on placement, admissions and courses, applicants can verify details through KMTC and the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) official communication channels. 

Applicants can also visit their nearest KMTC campus for guidance.

KMTC further said applications for the September 2026 intake remain open for both pre-service and upgrading programmes.

Applicants seeking admission to pre-service programmes are required to apply through the KUCCPS portal, while those applying for upgrading programmes should submit their applications through the KMTC Admissions Portal.
