President William Ruto has claimed that Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna launched The Equitable Party (TEP) then went straight to a bar.
President William Ruto has continued with his onslaught against Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.
Speaking on Wednesday October 14 in West Pokot, President Ruto claimed Sifuna launched The Equitable Party (TEP) then went straight to a bar.
The Head of State also alleged the last time Sifuna was seen in public was with Congolese musician Koffi Olomide and a table full of expensive alcohol.
“I saw Mr. Empty launch a party called The Empty Party, then head straight to a bar.
“The last time we saw him, he was with Koffi Olomide, and the table was full of that expensive liquor with two names,” said Ruto.

President Ruto went on to ridicule Sifuna and his party, describing them as both ‘empty’.
“The man himself is empty, the party is empty, and all that is left is alcohol. Now he is asking women to send him Ksh10 each. So, where will you take that party? Is it stuck in a bar, or where is it?” Ruto posed.
The President’s remarks come amid the ongoing exchanges between him and the Nairobi Senator.
Earlier Senator Sifuna responded to President Ruto’s criticism over his Ksh24,000 monthly contribution to the Housing Levy.
In a statement on X, Sifuna said they should also discuss the Ksh43,000 he pays for the Social Health authority (SHA) which he described as a scam.
The Linda Mwananchi leader also claimed he is deducted Ksh500,000 in Pay As You Earn (PAYE) adding that the taxes are mismanaged.
“Is he done ranting about the 24K I pay for his housing scam because there is this Ksh43,000 I pay every month for his SHA scam we also need to discuss.
“Once we are done with that, we can discuss the Ksh500,000 in PAYE he takes every single month and splashes on tea and mandazi at State House, all while insulting us taxpayers who bear the burden of his greed,” said Sifuna.
Further, Senator Sifuna vowed to scrap the housing levy should the opposition win in the 2027 General Election.
“In 2027 we are cutting the fat out of our budget to bring relief to all Kenyan workers. The housing levy will go with Ruto,” added Sifuna.
