Cotu boss Francis Atwoli threw jabs at Deputy President William Ruto for giving the youth wheelbarrows

Cotu boss Francis Atwoli threw jabs at Deputy President William Ruto over his initiatives to give youth wheelbarrows.

Speaking during the BBI report launch on Monday, Atwoli opined that the world is progressing and leaders should be equipping the youth with new technological skills that will help them compete with their peers worldwide.

"People are talking of digital economy, blue economy, smart economy... let us not direct our children to the old ways, the world is changing fast...," Atwoli opined.

Atwoli stated that parents educate their children in hopes they will graduate and get better jobs.

The Cotu boss said if the government does not conclusively address the issue of youth employment through the BBI then Kenya will remain stagnant.

In his usual upbeat manner, Atwoli roared encouraging President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga to be strong and desist from threats.

Atwoli said that going forward mechanisms should be put in place for workers to have a representation in parliament and not through political parties.
