Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has announced that he will not be contesting any elective seat in the 2022 General Election.
Speaking on Tuesday, Kuria noted as the country head to the 2022 General Election, his focus is on strengthening his Chama Cha Kazi Party and uniting Mt Kenya region.
Kuria further noted that his key priority is to ensure the region is represented in the table when the next government is being formed.
“Hakuna kiti hata moja mimi ntasimama.
Taking a swipe at a section of leaders who accused him of using his party to push for personal gains, Kuria noted that his decision not to vie in the 2022 General Election should silence this lot.

Moses Kuria is among Mount Kenya leaders that are pushing for the region to have political parties that will be used to negotiate with other entities ahead of the 2022 election.
Together with NARC-Kenya leader Martha Karua and former Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri, the leaders have cautioned against merging and dissolution of parties to form one huge coalition.
Their position has not augured well with a section of leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto who want smaller parties to fold their outfits and form one huge coalition to compete with their opponents.
