Youth leaders allied to National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi have called out the media over alleged propaganda on his endorsement.
The leaders claimed that a section of leaders has employed the use of media, national television and articles to spread propaganda meant to hurt the presidential ambitions of Speaker Muturi.
"It has come to our attention that a malicious campaign of disinformations against the presidential candidature of Hon. Justin Biden Muturi has been mounted by known people in a desperate attempt to sow confusion by means of reports and articles crafted with a political agenda to demean his presidential candidature and auction the mountain to busybodies," the leaders stated.
They further raised concerns that the media had been used to discredit Muturi's presidential ambitions.
"We would like to express our displeasure to the members of the fifth estate for allowing yourselves to be used by our political detractors to peddle information that is not representative of the facts," they added.

The youth leaders assured that Speaker Muturi will be on the ballot come August 9, 2022, warning that nothing will deter his ambitions for the nation.
They called upon President Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure that all presidential candidates are afforded a free and fair environment in the race for State House.
The youth leaders further argued that Speaker Muturi is tried and tested. They noted that he has served in the Judiciary, and now in the National Assembly heading into a decade as speaker, and thus is the most qualified to succeed President Kenyatta as Head of State.
They argued that his understanding of the functions and running of the two arms of government places him ahead of all other candidates.
"We will not be cowered by those rumours, whoever is trying to tarnish his name, come baby come.
"We want to urge the media, be ethical in your works. JB Muturi stands for order, integrity and prosperity," the leaders concluded.
Speaker Muturi was elected as the Democratic Party of Kenya (DP) presidential candidate.
