Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) nominated member of the County Assembly (MCA) Mellab Lumalah is dead.
Ms. Lumalah, who was also the Nairobi County Assembly deputy minority leader, passed away in India where she was receiving treatment.
Reports indicate that she had been receiving treatment for cancer since last year.
Speaker Justin Muturi this year requested house members to pray for her recovery.
“Hon. Members, you may also be aware of one of our us, Hon. Mellab Atemah Lumalah, Special Elect Member from the Orange Democratic Movement who has been on treatment in India since December last year, I request for your healing prayers,” Muturi said.
