A court in Eldoret has handed seventeen suspects allegedly involved in the stoning incident of ODM leader Raila Odinga's chopper seven more days in police custody.
In a ruling on Monday, the court ordered the seventeen to be detained to allow the police to conclude investigations into the incident.
The prosecution in the case had sought to detain the suspects for 14 days before the court made the ruling.
The suspects appeared before the court to answer charges over Friday's incident, where they were accused of causing chaos.
The seventeen were charged with attempted murder, incitement to violence, malicious damage to property, and disturbance of peace.

In the Friday incident, the former Prime Minister's helicopter was pelted with stones by a group of youths after he landed at Mzee Jackson Kibor's home for his burial.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said that the youth behind the incident had been incited by some politicians.
The directorate on Saturday linked Soy MP Caleb Kositany, his Kapseret counterpart Oscar Sudi and Uasin Gishu County Assembly Speaker David Kiplagat with the scheming of the incident.
They were later summoned to appear before the Rift Valley DCI Regional Cordinator for further investigations into their involvement in the incident.
Meanwhile, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed, who was in the company of Raila, has been summoned to appear before the DCI on Tuesday, April 5.
