Deputy President William Ruto has spoken on the ongoing UDA party nominations across the 36 counties in the country.

Through his social media pages on Thursday Thursday, April 14, DP Ruto said he was satisfied with most of the processes across the country.

He acknowledged that there were some challenges faced by the party in some parts of the country in the morning but have since been solved.

Ruto went ahead to congratulate about 500 party aspirants whom he said are taking part in today's nominations and have shown patience despite the challenges faced.

The second in command revealed that a total of 888 elective seats are being contested for today. At the same time, Ruto said 49,811 election officials have been deployed to the 16,513 polling centers across all the 36 counties

A number of aspirants led by former Knut boss Wilson Sossion and woman representative MP Joyce Korir have already complained of pre-marked ballot papers going around in the county.

They complained that some presiding officers took ballot materials to their homes and stayed with them overnight marking them in favour of certain candidates. They now want the UDA nominations called off until the issue is resolved
