After the Education Cabinet secretary George Magoha released the 2021 KCSE exam results, what follows is many candidates seeking to know what they have scored.
Candidates, parents and teachers can access the 2021 KCSE exam results on the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) website and SMS platforms.
They can also visit county education offices and their respective schools.
For an SMS platform, candidates' parents and guardians are required to send their index number, followed by the initials KCSE (in capital letters) to 20076 in order to access the exam results.

For example, if 23467847002 is your index number, type 23467847002KCSE then send it to 20076. After the full index number, no spacing between the last number and the initials KCSE.
The SMS platform is for all mobile networks and users will be charged Sh25 each per SMS.
Candidates can access detailed results of their exams from their respective examination centres later on.
If a candidate wants to check the exam results using the Knec web portal, he or she is advised to head to the KCSE tab and select the year they sat the national exams and enter their Index number.
Students are asked to be patient while using the platform owing to a large number of requests sent at the same time which results in delays.
831,015 candidates sat the exam in 10,413 centres compared to 752,981 in 10,437 centres in 2020.
This was an increase of 78,034 or 9.39 percent.
The announcement of the results will pave the way for admission to universities, colleges, and technical institutions.
The learners had until April 1 to select courses via the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement portal.
Parents and learners will have only one month to prepare for the learners' enrolment.
University Education PS Simon Nabukwesi had previously said the candidates will join universities in June.
He said those who will be enrolled in colleges and vocational institutes will report in September
