More details have emerged after the son of nominated MP David Sankok, Memusi Sankok shot himself dead on Monday, May 2.
The 15-year-old boy is said to have shot himself using the father's gun.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Memusi fetched his gun from his father's bedroom and proceeded to shoot himself in another room.
He is said to have died on the spot after shooting himself on the chin with the bullet exiting through the upper part of the skull.
DCI report indicates that the boy had declined to go back to school, Kericho High School.

The family said that the 15-year-old was supposed to go back to school last week but disappeared after he was given money for shopping by his father only to return on Sunday.
The father, MP Sankok, is said to have summoned him on Monday morning over the matter but Memusi insisted he was tired of the school.
According to the report, MP Sankok proceeded for a political meeting only to be called later about the incident that had happened at their home in Narok.
A section of the family disclosed that the two have been having differences over Memusi's academic performances.
