Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has fired back at ODM leader Raila Odinga for criticising his charity project dubbed Sonko Rescue Team.
Speaking to a group of Eastleigh Businessmen on Tuesday, Raila took a swipe at Sonko saying his rescue team is not a project a governor of the city can run to change the lives of the people.'
Raila suggested that the governor of a City has to plan how to implement development projects that can change the lives of the people.
The remarks have not augured well with Sonko who has hit back at him saying his project has helped so many people including those who back him for the presidency.

Sonko went on to reveal that they are only backing the ODM leader Because of President Uhuru Kenyatta and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
"The Sonko rescue team you are criticising here plus their families also have more than 9000 of your votes countrywide. We are fully supporting you courtesy of none other than the Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and his Bro. HE Uhuru Kenyatta but the fact remains Mombasa people need change," Sonko said.
The Former Nairobi Governor is facing tough opposition from a section of ODM leaders in his bid for the Mombasa governor seat.
Sonko is seeking to succeed Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho in the August 9, polls on a Wiper party ticket.
