Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga will announce his running mate on Monday 16, 2022.
Speculations were rife that Odinga would announce his running mate on Sunday at the historic Kamukunji grounds during a major rally.
Responding to the reports, Odinga's campaign spokesperson Professor Makau Mutua stated that Azimio would announce the former Prime Minister's deputy on Monday.
"Our campaign is aware that Kenyans are anxious to know the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya presidential ticket. We will make the announcement tomorrow," the statement read in part.
The 7-member panel that was to vet Odinga's running mate concluded its work and handed over the report to Odinga.

The Dr. Noah Wekesa-led committee picked the top three candidates in order of priority.
Reports indicate that the three candidates who made the final list are Martha Karua, Peter Kenneth, and Kalonzo Musyoka.
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Nairobi branch Chairman George Aladwa invited Odinga's supporters to the Mega rally in Kamukunji.
“I wish to invite all Nairobians in a major rally on 15th May 2022 on Sunday that will be held at famous Kamukunji Grounds our beloved the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya Raila Odinga will be the main speaker,” Aladwa said.
