Trouble is brewing in Kenya Kwanza after Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria claimed that United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leadership has been planning how to embarrass him and William Kabogo.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Kuria mentioned that he sympathised with Kabogo after he clashed with Senator Kimani Wamatangi during the Kenya Kwanza tour in Kiambu County.
However, the legislator alleged that it was UDA leadership including MPs and MCAs in the region that had planned to humiliate him and Kabogo.
According to Kuria, MCAs and MPs who associated with them had been warned of dire consequences.
"What happened in the Hustler Express caravan in Kiambu today is regrettable. The ugly altercation between Gov Kabogo and Sen Wamatangi is regrettable. I will not apportion blame to any of the 2 gentlemen but I can relate with Gov Kabogo's pain. For 3 days the UDA leadership has been meeting UDA MP and MCA Candidates to plot how to embarass Gov Kabogo and myself during the tour. MCAs and MPs who associate with us were warned of dire consequences This chicanery is not healthy for our fledgling alliance," part of the statement read.

He added, "It is imperative that we live with not only the letter but also the spirit of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance. Otherwise, it will be tantamount to politics of conmanship and deceit. We will be raising these concerns with our alliance principals as provided for in the Alliance instruments."
Kuria's Chama cha Kazi and Kabogo's Tujibebe Party are among the affiliate parties in Kenya Kwanza. Kuria and Kabogo are both eyeing the Kiambu gubernatorial seat.
Kabogo and Wamatangi clashed during a Kenya Kwanza rally in Kiambu after the latter reportedly declined to give the former microphone to speak.
In retaliation, Kabogo produced his another Microphone and dared the Kiambu senator saying," "Kama wewe ni Mwanaume kuja hapa."
UDA deputy nominee Rigathi was forced to intervene to cool the temperatures.
