President Uhuru Kenyatta has summoned the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Council for a meeting to be held on Friday (today), June 24 at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

The President, who is the chairman of the Azimio council, invited council members to deliberate the campaign strategy ahead of the August polls.

In the notice, Kenyatta listed the following agendas; review the party's campaign strategy and plan, review, formulate and approve party policies among other issues.

“Take notice that a meeting of the Coalition Council, to be chaired by the Party Leader (Mr Odinga), will be held on the 24 June 2022, at KICC starting at 10.00 am,” part of the notice read.

Reports also indicate that Azimio is expected to tackle the issue of sibling rivalry among the parties with concerns that they could lose the seats to opponents in the race.

In its quest to win a majority of seats in both houses, reports indicate that the Azimio council will use opinion polls to weed out candidates who are considered to be weak in their respective counties.

Azimio's grand plan is to win the presidential race and scoop a majority of seats in both houses.
